One of the highlights of our trip. Full day trip, many cups of coffee, freshly made quesadillas. Amazing family that runs a small family business with organic coffee. Incredible experience, we learned a lot about the coffee plants, beans and the process of growing, taking care of, picking, washing and roasting the beans. I’d highly recommend to anyone who’s in Chiapas! Ps. As a bonus you can get a class how to make tortillas :D

This was my first time coming to Chiapas and it was absolutely beautiful. This coffee tour doesn’t get enough good ratings. The tour not only details the coffee process from green bean to harvesting, and roasting, but they gave us insight on the varieties of cultures and people within this area as well. The hospitality was 10/10. The food was delicious, and most importantly the vast knowledge we received from this 3rd generation coffee farmers was incredible. If you’re in the area and are interested in coffee I would recommend this tour.

Cafe Yaxchilan has been one of the best surprise of San Cris. It's a family owned business dedicated to preserve sustainable and artesanal coffee production. It provides a great introduction to the topic, with many insights from the harvest to the production process, as well as the chance to connect with a lovely local family. We've had the 2/3h coffee experience at the family house together with Andrés, only 20 yo but with a tangible passion for the business and the product. Together with him we've explored the house and all the areas designated to the coffee production, getting to know the plants as well as the machines used. We've tasted several delicious products based on coffee and cascaras (coffee shells): two types of coffee, a jam, an infusion, a smoothie, and liquors. So tasty! Having more time I'd definitely recommend the full day experience including the visit to the plantation. A must to do in San Cris!

We took a full day coffee tour and it was amazing! It was a mix of coffee, culture, food, hiking, and all of that in the most authentic way possible. The day started with a Mayan cemetery tour, followed by a traditional village and then we got to the coffee plantation which we hiked to for about 40-50 minutes. We tasted traditional Mexican food, got coffee explained to completion and tasted coffee and interesting coffee drinks all made by the family. Highly recommend!

We had THE most amazing experience this holiday on our coffee tour. We learned not only about the production of coffee but also about de Mayan culture, the country, food, and much more. We did the day-tour and would highly recommend this. Everybody was so sweet and caring. The food, cooking, coffee and everything in between was amazing. Thank you for this beautiful day.

Outstanding tour and outstanding coffee. You get to see small towns around San Cristobal, learn about Mayan culture, make tortillas, understand the coffee process and of course try coffee. Estaban is an excellent guide. Bring your hiking shoes as the walk to the plantation can get slippery. Also it is a big day normally 10 hours with all the trying of different coffee, tea and marmalade at the end.

Awesome experience Marlene and her mom were really helpful and the explanation of the whole process of the cafe was really clear. We could also experience it by making our own cafe. Definitely a MUST if you are interested in coffee ! Recommend 100%
